Detailed Itinerary
Day 1-2
Grab
your bags, jump into your Pathfinder, and off you go to Arenal mountain! Arenal is a live volcano with hot springs nearby. You first few days is spent at the luxurious Tabacón
Hot Springs Resort, a 42-room hotel with nearby hot springs. This veritable paradise also includes 5 hectares (12 acres) of botanical gardens and complete spa services (massage, facials, and more.) Relax
in complete luxury! Stay includes unlimited access to hot springs. full gourmet breakfasts.
Day 3-6
Then
it's across the bay and onto the southern most tip of the Pacific North, Mal Pais. There you will stay at the Flor Blanca, one of the most incredible luxury
resorts in Costa Rica. While this location is remote, The Flor Blanca has all the amenities.
It also has some incredible architecture, borrowing heavily from the Near East and Orient with an
organic feel and natural expression. One interesting item of note is the alfresco bathrooms with enclosed garden. This
hotel is the perfect combination of first class luxury in harmony with nature. Did we mention that there is only 11 villas in the entire hotel?
Day 7
Then
it's across the bay for a single night stay at the Villa Caletas. Located on a cliff high over a private beach, the Villa Caletas is surrounded by a lush
rainforest. There is a total of 36 rooms distributed as follows: 5 Standard rooms, 5 standard deluxe, 13 Villas, 7 Junior Suites with jacuzzi, 2 Suites, 1 Superior Suite and 3 Master Suites. All rooms have a private bathroom with hot water and hair dryer, air conditioning, ceiling fans, mini-bar, satellite TV, telephone, safety deposit box, and a coffee maker. Hotel facilities include two restaurants, two bars, a deep blue swimming pool, lush tropical gardens, gym, spa and a Greek-style amphitheatre overlooking the ocean.
Day 8-10
Then you journey a touch south to famous Manuel Antonio, and the amazing beachfront resort Arenas del Mar. The Resort has 38 rooms, including ocean view apartments with two bedrooms and three full bathrooms. All rooms offer spectacular views of the Manuel Antonio National Park, the Pacific Ocean and the tropical rainforest. The hotel was built with an ambitious combination of deluxe accommodation, coupled with the highest level of certified sustainability. The buildings housing the guest rooms were altered to fit around existing trees, water is heated with solar panels and grey water is reused for irrigation. Relax and enjoy the facilities of the hotel, the beach and the restaurant serving lunch and dinner, offering exquisite international foods using only the freshest sea foods, meats and fruits and vegetables - this hotel is an unforgettable experience!
Day 11
Take
off early in the morning to reach the amazing Hotel Xandari by noon in San José. Xandari is an exclusive mountain hotel, secluded on a coffee plantation overlooking the Central Valley, and just 15 minutes from the International Airport and 24 km / 15 miles from downtown San Jose. This hotel, which opened in 1996, features 21 spacious private villas on a 40-acre (he) coffee and fruit plantation, designed with great attention to detail. Elegant decoration and unique style makes this place stand out from the crowd.
There are private and scenic trails you can walk on, a number of waterfalls, and peace and quiet.
Day 12
Drive to San José International airport to take the plane back to home, relaxed, invigorated, with plenty of memories!
