Río Chirripo B&B Retreat

Introduction

Río Chirripo is a small lodge near the trailhead of Costa Rica's tallest mountain, Chirripo. It’s a tranquil 12-acre oasis located at the Chirripo River, between the villages of San Gerardo and Canaan.

Surrounded by green hills and small farms, Rio Chirripo's natural setting will inspire you, whether you come as a guest to the peaceful B&B or reserve the facilities for small retreats, family gatherings or your dream wedding.

The Lodge offers eight beautiful guestrooms all with private baths and a riverside bungalow. At Río the days are warm and the evenings cool to spring-like temperatures, which create the perfect sleeping environment.

During your visit to Río you'll enjoy the mountain and river views from the jacuzzi and solar-heated pool. You may also enjoy a hike to the nearby natural Hot Springs, which provide the perfect place to relax the body and renew the senses. Río Chirripo provides the ideal "base-camp" for visit to the Cloudbridge Reserve or an adventure up Mount Chirripo, Central America's second tallest peak.

If you rent a car and feel like exploring a bit some of Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches are within an hour and a half drive.

Due to its unique location, visitors to Rio Chirripo have the opportunity to discover Costa Rican village life the way it has always been.
