Snorkeling in Cahuita
Introduction
Visit on this tour many unique marine and terrestrial ecosystems at the Cahuita National Park; this park offers abundant wildlife, pristine beaches, and one of the last surviving coral formations in Costa Rica.
In a glass fiber boat, plus Capitan and guide, you will be able to appreciate different coral species such as the fire coral, Elkhorn and the Smooth brain coral; many species of tropical fish such as Queen
Angelfish and Blue parrot fish, as well as crustaceans, shellfish, and algae. Other species such as: sea urchins, sea cucumber, lobsters, sponges, hawksbill turtle and green turtle. You can practice snorkeling
for 2 or 3 hours, in different places of the coral reef.
The tour continues with a hike in the park where you will see many different species of flora and fauna, such as howler and white-faced monkeys, Two-and Three-toed sloth, iguanas, spiders, Morpho butterflies, birds, snakes and much more.
At the end, the guide will take you to a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious Caribbean Lunch before you return to your hotel.
Important note: The National Park Cahuita, does not charge any entrance fee to the park. You just need to register and if you will, give a money donation.
