Jaco Aerial Tram

Introduction

Come experience a most unique nature tour in Costa Rica - the aerial tram. The Pacific Rain Forest Tram is about two hours from San José (108 km) and is located 2 miles from the main entrance to Jacó Beach in the middle of a private reserve.

It takes visitors on a tram excursion through the rainforest canopy for a relaxing and restful way to observe plants and trees from the ground level to the treetops. Due to the topography of the property, the tram goes from ground level to a maximum height of 130ft (39mt) above the forest floor. The visit also includes a guided walk through the heliconia and herb gardens, and to the snake exhibit in the property. Each of these Costa Rica expeditions showcases the wonder of Costa Rican nature with unique eco tours. For your convenience, facilities include a coffee shop selling cold drinks and snacks a gift shop with a full line of quality outdoor gear, natural history books, t-shirts and more. All buildings and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. Although the entrance to the park is down a dirt road, four-wheel-drive vehicles are not necessary.
